( thoughts @ 5:54 AM )

Here's a post after five months =)

Yay H3 is over!! I just took the H3 final exam today :)))))))

Haha and Deborah, Zhenyi, Sharon and I took a picture with Anders at the end of the test. LOL. It's the last time we'll ever see him! I'm predominantly happy though there is a little part of me that feels a bit sad. Haha! That's just a rather small part though. Haha maybe it's cause Dr Tan and Anders have been pretty nice to answer our incessant queries :)

Oh well! Bye to H3 till I see you again on my A level cert next year. :)

Haha. ANYWAY. I HAVE TO BLOG ABOUT THIS..

Yesterday, after a rather long consultation with Anders (I also had to wait pretty long to ask him stuff), I felt a bit tired and decided to cab home. Usually it costs about 5 bucks to get from my home to school, so I was expecting to spend roughly that amount. And it turned out this cab ride cost me a bomb!

I think i flagged down a cab that has higher charges than the norm, maybe because the cab was larger than usual. Either that or it was peak hour and the waiting time at the traffic lights kept the taxi meter crazily alive. So I paid about 8 bucks plus for that ride, got down the cab, went into the lift.... And realised that my handphone was missing. I remembered looking back to check that I didn't leave anything behind, but i guess it was too dark so i didnt see my hp in the cab. So i left my stuff outside my house and ran like i never ran before to my condo's main gate, hoping to catch the cab. Well i didnt manage to catch it in the end. I kept praying for God to let me retrieve my phone the whole time. Then i went back and called my handphone. After a few tries (my phone was on silent mode), the uncle picked up the phone!! P-H-E-W. The uncle said he will drive back and return me my phone later at night :)

Hallelujah! :D

I only got back my phone at about 10plus that night but at least i got it back! Haha. The taxi uncle was really nice and honest. Haha i thought of how people sometimes write to the Straits Times thanking others who have returned them their valuables... They must have felt really really thankful like how i felt :) Haha. So i gave the uncle 10bucks to express my gratitude! Initially he didn't want to take it but i insisted that he did and he relented :) Haha. I thought that it was a little demeaning to reduce such worthy character to monetary reward, but then again, just like what mummy said, it's just a way to express my gratitude towards him =) i guess it depends on how u look at it!

Haha im listening to Jason Mraz's I'm Yours, so classic. :) I like how his songs have this hawaiian twist :)

On a side note, I really like this quote that I came across recently... "There's no need to be so humble because you're not that great". :) Jesus is so great and mighty that He can control the armies of the world as his pawns with a simple command, yet He CHOSE to come down to this earth as a helpless baby. He had to rely on someone else for food/water and was even put into a trough cause there was little place elsewhere to put Him then. He is so great yet so humble, what more myself, a mere human being who's dependent on His grace to live. :)

( Over, perhaps. @ 11:13 PM )

It's going to be a busy week ahead!

monday and tuesday- SPF prog
wednesday and thursday- mazarin camp!!
friday- dental appointment a.k.a. Im-going-to-do-my-braces-day :O
saturday- piano lesson
sunday- gong gong's birthday celebration!

I think I'm going to choose orange for my first set of braces since its the cny period! Haha.

Wheeee.

I think my gong gong is quite cute. He's like a lao wan tong, in the words of my aunts and mum. Haha. The day before yesterday, he told me and my mum to get him KFC for lunch. Then, when we gave it to him, he went like, "Whoa! Zhe shi shen me?"
I said, "Ken de ji (as in Kentucky)."
Then he looked abit surprised and said "Hao la hao la.."
Hahahah as if he had no choice but to indulge in this unhealthy and guilty pleasure since we bought it, when he was the one who ordered it. Or maybe he really did forget that he ordered it. Haha. After he ate it, he still said, "KFC de zui hao chi le..."

Lol happy birthday to gong gong in advance :)

School's starting next monday, and my first period is PE! Haha. At least it's good that i'm finally having PE so I won't be lazing around at home the whole day/week/month. I went swimming the last two saturdays though! Haha. I think my stamina dropped drastically since ta2 loh, cause I didn't work out much.. But I guess exercising is good so I shall try to exercise regularly. Haha. By exercise, I mean swimming! Haha I prefer that to running cause you won't get all sweaty and hot.

Next year's timetable looks relatively good! At least my latest dayS end at 3 plus pm, and not 5plus pm O.O so I should be thankful! Have two 3 period breaks a week, and a 4 period break on friday!! That is to say I have to stay back for 4 periods to attend 1 math tutorial before ending my day. Ahhhhhh. Hopefully mrs goh can bring the class forward!

Oh, I think Aida designed our class tee very beautifully! She actually designed a character for each of us... It's very cute, take a look! And you can guess which is me. Haha i think some of you already know.

You can navigate different views of the tee at the top right hand corner. :) Kudos to 0508! <3

Ms Nansi forwarded us an email regarding the tshirt too:

Dear Aida,
Thanks for all the hard work! They look great! Can't wait for mine.
Looks like I might still be stuck with you delinquents next year :)
Hope everyone had a good holiday and did all their holiday homework.
Love,
Ms Nansi

I felt good seeing that :)

Bye!

( new blogskin for the new year @ 5:28 AM )

I just changed my 3 year old blogskin! Just realised my blog is 4 years old. Haha what an old blog.

2.5 hours more to 2009! Haha. We'll add an extra second to the clock this year cause the world is revolving more slowly. How we often wished that we had more time, there, we're given one more second. Haha.

( boxing day @ 6:44 AM )

Merry Boxing Day (:

Haha just found out that the story behind Boxing Day this morning. It originated from the practice of people asking their superiors/old customers for money to put in the box, and after they have collected enough money, they will share it with their co-workers/friends. SOMETHING LIKE THAT... Haha but tudi said it sounded more like Begging Day. Hahaha.

Met tudi for lunch today. Thank you for the Christmas gift! Haha if you still visit the blog that is. :) Had a nice meal at Kobayashi and we parted ways after that. Actually I'm grateful that you still remember me after all these years :) The little things that you do tell me that you haven't forget this old friend. Thanks man!

Haha and I went to Hokkaido and Taiwan!! (Deb's in London now AHHHHHH. I wanna go to Europe some day!) Anyway, I had quite a fun time at the trip with mum. Haha partly because my dad wasn't there to interfere with me and my mum's shopping spree. Hee! But okay we should be saving for rainy days. Have been getting quite some clothes/accessories this whole year :// Haha with the dark clouds looking pretty ominous this season we should start saving! So no new year clothes this year (: I haven't got a chance to wear some clothes I bought this year anyway. Haha. Yup, it was pretty cold in Hokkaido! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE COLD PLACES WHOOHOO :) Haha I love it how it feels like you've walked into the freezer once you step out of the airport :DDD Haha the lowest it ever got when I went to Hokkaido was -7 degrees celcius!! Haha love it. There was thick snow too! Ahhhhhh! HAHA. Snapped a couple of pictures of me in the snow but heh maybe i'll upload the picts another time cause some picts are in my laptop, which I just sent for repair. Haha anyway I made a friend there LOL. She's actually a mother already, and she's called Donna. Haha there was one day when my mom wasn't feeling too well, so she did not want to go out and play with the snow with me and snap pictures haha. Donna was there with her husband, and you know how guys don't like to take alot of pictures, so we ended up taking qutie a few photos together! She's so funny cause despite being a mother already, she was still very fascinated with pretty poses and she'll tell the tour guide to snap pictures of her in different angles and poses. Haha! So it was fun taking pictures with her. She'll direct me in the poses I make sometimes too hahaha.

Speaking of the tour guide! He's called Jacky. Haha he's a really nice person, my mum and I agreed that he's a very caring tour guide and you can tell that his concern for the tour members is very genuine and sincere. :) From our first encounter with him at Changi Airport I already gathered he's a pretty good tour guide, cause he filled in those immigration forms etc for each tour member. He even worked out the amount of tips we have to give the Japanese and Taiwanese tour guides, typed it out, and printed it for each family! He even lent us his camera on one of the days when our cam batt went flat, and offered to send them to us. Haha me and my mum praised him in the feedback form at the end of the trip.. He should get a promotion in due time! Hahaha.

Each day in Hokkaido ended super early, cause night falls by around 4plus pm. It's actually good this way, cause we can go back to the hotel and rest :) Unlike China trips, the days end really late at around 10plus. Haha that's a 6 hour difference.. Yup and there were onsens, or wen quan, in the hotels! Mum and I went into an onsen during one of the nights. The outdoor onsen is ultimate cooooooolness! Half your body is in the piping hot onsen, and the other half is exposed to the icy cool air :))) You guys should try it some day! :)

Haha and we got to wear Japanese costumes too! Those onsen hotels provided them, and you can wear them throughout the whole hotel. Haha it's really cool, took some pictures and my mum filmed a retarded dance of me in the pretty costume which i wont post it here whaha:P Every hotel provided a different costume so it was fun wearing them :D

Haha the food there is not bad too! They have cold crab legs, scallops, etc. All these didnt come cheap though! Haha. Oh my and if you go to Hokkaido you must try the milk there! Yes, MILK! It's very nice and fragrant compared to Singapore's :) The ice cream there is cool too! Very soft and smooth =) Try it next time if you have the chance!!

I just love it when the WHOLE entire place is filled with snow. Haha winter is my favourite season! The snow there is very powdery and soft too :)

Haha one cool thing about the hokkaido-taiwan trip is that you get to sit the plane many times! Haha I love airports and I love to sit planes :D I will never go to the airport to study, and will avoid going to airports for fun, cause being at the airport and not being able to fly out of Singapore makes me sad LOL.

Taiwan was quite cold too. Most of the time it was 10plus degrees. Went to Shi Lin Ye Shi the first night! Tried the fried oyster, but I think singapore's one is better! Or at least it is so for the stall I ate at. Haha. I also tried this cool ice kachang (haha pun unintended), which instead of ice, it was made of milk-ice! The milk-ice will melt in your mouth, like M&Ms haha. It was pretty good (: The beef noodles in taiwan are special too! They brew it in herbs and it's one of their specialities there, so go get a bowl the next time you're there :)

The best part of Taiwan was.... Shopping! :) Haha went to Xi Men Ding too! :OO Haha it's really quite cool to go there, because people in Taiwanese show are always going there or talking about it. There are TONNES of shops there, and after like 4 hours plus of shopping, we only managed to cover say, 1/5 of Xi Men Ding. :OO So it's very nice to shop! The things there are quite pretty too. Haha ANNNNDDDDD, because we had to be back at the hotel at 4 plus to catch a plane in the night, we left Xi Men Ding at about 3pm.. When I came back to Singapore, I saw on the net that He Wei Jian was having zou chang at Xi Men Ding at 3 plus pm that day!!! Ahh so wasted, I could have, possibly, seen him in Taiwan! Haha....

Oh and we took the MRT to Xi Men Ding with Donna. (Her husband obviously wouldn't make his way down to shop hahaha) Their MRT system is really quite good! :) It's very similar to Singapore's. It's user-friendly too and it makes it really convenient to travel around Taiwan. :)

Catherine and Angeline were at the airport on 6th, and they were very sweet to ask me what time I was reaching Singapore, so they can receive me... :) But I was reaching Singapore only on the wee hours on the 7th. Haha, but nevertheless, THANK YOU! *yong bao*

Christmas gathering was cancelled this year cause my uncle, who usually organises the gathering every year, is renovating his house ): Oh well! So as a result my bro also couldn't wear his nice clothes! Haha my mum and I got this green and black striped sweater from Taiwan for him, matched it with a long sleeve shirt, and hung it on his closet handle for him. Haha it looks pretty good! Lol me and my mum should be his fashion consultant and get him a new wardrobe :P

CNY is early this year! Angpao time! Haha. I think Jan is going to pass pretty quickly, cause we'll only have about 1 week of official lessons before we break for CNY. Haha.

Daddy's birthday tmr!!

Happy Birthday to you,
Happy Birthday to you!
Happy Birthday to DADDY...!!!!
Happy Birthday to you!

Hahahah not like he reads my blog but whatever la hahaha. :)

Hee on a random note, my dad is as old as Lee Hsien Loong. Heh!

Cheerios!

love sbs transit journal planner! it allows ppl to plan your journey by bus in the easiest way :D

haha. sharing photos with catherine now! today's such a fun but tiring day. went for cip and then shopping at far east, again! just went there with mom ytd. but i didnt buy anything today ahahha.

so irritating, i cant believe i overslept today. argh. i subconsciously switched off my alarm! it's such a bad day to oversleep and be late la.

went for ag home's anniversary dinner ytd. what i expected to be only a small dinner turned out to be a huge event! it's cute how they incorporated worship into the anniversary dinner cum celeb. they booked the whole restaurant for the dinner. before everything started there was a worship session, so the girls went up and sang a couple of christian songs (: then before the food was served, everyoneeee stood up for a thanksgiving prayer led by mommy grace. how cool is that! haha. and as we ate there was an ongoing programme planned by the girls. some of them recounted their experience at ag as well. i thought it was good that pastor andrew gave his final speech, urging everyone present to open their hearts to Christ. well, at least he planted the seed there in everyone's hearts! then as we walked out of the restaurant we were given plants/vegetables/hydroponics. ohman that's the most random thing ever! hahaha:D so kaiyin and i had to bring the plants back home. imagine us carrying vegetables on the mrt. hahaha. we even thought of giving it to deborah's rabbit. deborah's rabbit, arent you honoured! lol.

oh and by the way, the food there was really good, though a tad too much for us. hahaha. love the chicken and duck the most. the chicken had really crispy skin! awesomeness. but we couldnt finish everything so we ended up taking some food back. it's qianxi restaurant opposite paya lebar mrt, so go there for your reunion dinner next time! ahah.

yawn. feel quite tired now. but ohman im so excited about my nov schedule!!!!!

ag dinner(has alr passed), POL prize presentation next thursday (we got special merit award, praise GOD!), nps attachment from 17-28nov, hokkaido-taiwan from 29nov til 6 dec!!!!! (TOTALLY EXCITED ABOUT THAT YAYYYY)

hee. costs quite a bomb though. but dad was nice to let me and my mum go after some persuasion. hahahah. dad MIGHT going to ISRAEL for 5 days to work! COOOOOLNESS. he said he might be going to some part of israel which is relatively safe. but he's trying to ask his boss if it's okay if he doesnt go, cause it isnt the safest place to be in afterall. but the idea of israel is just plain awesome heee.

had 1a class outing earlier on. thanks elysia for organising it! it's nice to gather after 2 years. hahaha. mr heng joined us too! love you guyssssss (=

okay that's all for now! gooooooodnight.

I'm on a mission to improve my handwriting!

Googled 'how to write neat and fast' :

Tip 1:
Practice makes perfect! Practice copying a sentence/short story many, many times.

Tip 2:

After receiving n teachers' comments on my handwriting, i've decided to improve it over the holidays. Hurrah :DD

And i finally settled my portfolio stuff! Dug out all my records over the past two years that werent included in my portfolio. Yay. Mr Gregory was nice to help me update my ancient records.

Parkway later!
